Food Bank, a non-profit charitable organisation, was chosen by the employees of FYM who, in 2011, were able to vote on the projects of various NGOs for the first time.

The goal of the Food Bank is to obtain free food of all kinds, which will be subsequently donated and delivered free of charge among legally recognised charitable organisations dedicated to providing direct assistance and care to people in need (persons with mental or physical disabilities, destitute senior citizens and children, families experiencing social exclusion, recovering drug addicts, AIDS victims, etc.)

In previous years, FYM has also collaborated with the Spanish NGO, “Cooperación Internacional”, providing financial support and volunteers for housing rehabilitation projects in disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

Thanks to the internalisation of the safety and prevention policy, a number of FYM-Italcementi’s centres have gone years without workplace accidents, making them a benchmark in Spain’s construction material industry.
