Sustainable Development
Environment

FYM has chosen the path of responsible production and sustainable development as the most appropriate ways in which to further its activities. This means that optimisation of the use of natural resources, minimisation of environmental impact, reductions in atmospheric emissions and energy efficiency are priority targets for the company.

Emissions Control Quarry Restoration
The over 100 million euros invested in environmental improvements since 2000 for the implementation of Available Technical Improvements have made it possible to reduce and control emissions in all of FYM’s activities. Aware of their impact upon the environment, FYM is committed to restoring the natural spaces where it carries out its activities in parallel with the extraction works themselves.
Its commitment to sustainable quarry management has earned it many prizes, such as the 2008 Doñana Empresa Sostenible award

 Economy of  Combating
Natural Resources Climatic Change
With a view to reducing the consumption of natural resources derived from its activities, FYM is committed to recovering materials and energy contained in the waste of other activities which cannot be used in another, more environmentally friendly way All facilities control emissions strictly, assume the reduction objectives set by the Italcementi Group and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by improving energetic efficiency and recovering waste
