Museum Cemento Rezola opens IMAGINARIOS, the inhabited museum exhibition
Añorga, 19/12/2011

• These artistic projections will coexist with the museum's permanent collection as well as with the temporary exhibition Moneo, Parish for Riberas de Loiola, Iesu.

Show will be availeable from December 16th, 2011 up till March 18th, 2012

Museum Cemento Rezola, located in Donostia-San Sebastián, has opened today the exhibition IMAGINARIOS, The inhabited museum: with a total of 12 artistic bidimensional pieces based on the projects of the young talents that took part in the artistic summons of the museum in 2010, organized in the frame of his tenth anniversary. These samples - photographies, panels, cartels … - are exposed in all the spaces of the museum, joining with the rest of pieces of the permanent collection and with the temporary exhibition Moneo, Parish Riberas de Loiola, Iesu, prolonged until February 19, 2012 due to the public's success.

IMAGINARY, The inhabited museum, which will be able to be visited until March 18, 2012, gathers twelve different ways of reinventing and projecting this museum dedicated to the cement, under the attentive artistic look of the young talents. This way so, the sample turns into a statement loaded with symbolisms and intentions that deserve to be rescued to form a part, in time and place, of the same collective space.

2012, a year full of projects
In 2010, Museum Cemento Rezola - an initiative promoted by FYM-Italcementi to discover the transcendency of the cement in our civilization - celebrated its tenth anniversary with a wide program of activities in order to provide new perceptions, and reflections concerning the artistic practices. In this context it was announced the first Artistic Contest of the Museum by the aim to stimulate and support young artists. The success of this initiative has determined that, between the different activities programmed for the year 2012, the Museum has foreseen to celebrate its second Artistic Contest.
